“I am very excited, honored and humbled to have been chosen as the 2016 Arkansas Realtor® of the Year, especially given the quality, experience and contributions made by all of the other local board candidates.  Thank you to everyone for the support and congratulations, I am truly overwhelmed.  I would like to say thank you to a couple of people in particular who started me on my road to participation, Ken Gill and Bob Walker. Ken started it all for me when he asked me to put my name in as a candidate to serve in my first local board position and to step up my donation level in ARPAC many years ago.  I had been in the business for 3 to 4 years without being involved in leadership or committees and had no real understanding of the importance of ARPAC and an involved member until he gave me a push.  Bob has consistently shown me what it means to be willing to serve by his example since the day we started working together.  Since then, I have been mentored and encouraged by many other very special people. Thank you, again” says Paulette Richie.

The Arkansas Realtors® Association is the state’s professional and trade association for persons in real estate.  It is the umbrella group for Arkansas’ local Realtor® Boards over the state and in turn is the state arm of the National Association of Realtors®, which has headquarters in Chicago and Washington, D.C.  Members of the local, state and national groups subscribe to a strict Code of Ethics and are identified by the registered term, “Realtor®.”
